Ethan Casey & Bill Steigerwald 2 Authors, 2 Road Trips, 2 Americas

My good friend Ethan Casey appears at Towne Hall Friday, November 8th at 7:30pm to talk about his 2012 election-season road trip across America and the book he wrote about. Tickets are $5 and he's appearing with some fella named Bill, who sounds wonderful too:

Bill Steigerwald used John Steinbeck’s classic Travels with Charley as a map for his own cross-country road trip in search of America—and proved that Steinbeck’s travel book is so misleading, it doesn’t deserve to be called a work of nonfiction. Ethan Casey drove clockwise around America during the election season—and found a country “struggling through a time of confusion, economic and political distress, and transition.” Now Casey (Home Free) and Steigerwald (Dogging Steinbeck) are traveling together to offer provocative, first-person accounts of their coast-to-coast journeys: serious works of nonfiction by veteran journalists, but in the great tradition of American road books.
